NIC Mexico will reduce definitively prices on .MX domain classifications, beginning on February 1st

Beginning on February 1st, the price reduction will be applied in a definitive manner, through the Registry .MX. This reduction involves domain names under .COM.MX, .ORG.MX, .NET.MX and .MX, classifications. .

Users will be able to register .MX domain names through the more than 190 NIC México's Accredited Registrars, who will offer them attractive rates.

Monterrey, NL., January 13th, 2010. NIC Mexico announces a permanent price reduction on domain names registrations under .MX different classifications. Starting on February 1st, this action will benefit .MX users.

This action is possible because of the important growth of .MX in the last years, which has been reached altogether with NIC Mexico's Accredited Registrars; but also with the success of the .MX Reopening Process, which was concluded on the last months of 2009, reaching 71,642 domain name registrations directly under .MX, clearly this fact has contributed to impulse the use of .MX domains names.

Such price reduction will be applied through Registry .MX to the .COM.MX, .ORG.MX, .NET.MX and .MX classifications, thus Accredited Registrars will have the chance to offer accessible prices to end users.

NIC Mexico Registrar (division in charge of offering end users the registration service for .MX classifications), will apply the reduction on the domain names registration and renewals rate's, according to the following table, depending on everyone needs:

Also looking to improve (the last 6 years) average growth rate of 30% on .MX domain names, so users will be able to identify their organizations, services, ideas, groups or people directly with Mexico.
